Good attentive staff, decent location (four blocks to Metro), and lots of room in the suites for families. Complimentary breakfast has the works, although it's pretty crowded around the buffet tables. The manager's reception in the early evening can safely be missed, unless you're desperate for a free drink. Rooms are clean, recently renovated and well serviced on a daily basis. Having two TVs (both flat-screened, recent models) is a boom to families with differing interests. In-hotel car parking is sparse and expensive, but there are in-and-out privileges for those needing their cars during the day. There are lots of restaurants in the Dupont Circle area, so guests can safely avoid the Italian restaurant off the hotel's main floor. Service is excellent, prices not too bad, but the food just isn't up to scratch, unless it's something simple, like a pizza. Judging by the numbers of kids enjoying the facilities, this is an ideal family hotel. Good value.

We traveled on pleasure with our son and had a wonderful experience at the Embassy Suites. Hotel was clean, staff was helpful and friendly. The manager' reception in the lobby and the breakfast buffet were beyond expectation. We would definitely book again.

Just returned from a holiday stay at this hotel and found it looking a little shabby. Furnishings need replacing (sofa was threadbare on the arms and mattresses are getting soft.) Pool is very chlorinated and caused my grand kids to break out in a rash after swimming. On the positive side the breakfasts are still good and we enjoyed the variety of free cocktails available in the evening. Location is great and the walk to the Metro station is an easy one. With its faults it is still a good deal.

The Hotel was extremely friendly with all the interaction I had with various employees. First off the front desk went out of the way to look up any local football teams playing in the area the weekend I was there, thinking I might want to do something besides see another museum. Also each morning and evening the complimentary breakfast and managers cocktail reception the hostess was very personable. Even though I don't drink alcoholic beverages they allowed me to take a couple of non-alcoholic beers each evening back to my room to relax. My 84 year old father and I spent 8 days in DC just doing the tourist sight seeing , being his first ever visit to DC. The location was great for everything we wanted to see, bought a weeks metro unlimited pass. You are close to Dupont circle and Foggy Bottom stations. With the value of the suite size and the free full breakfast and evening snack and drinks, I found this to be one of the best bargains as I searched many hotels on the internes before making my reservations. I would definetly return here.
