We were prepared to like this hotel and were sadly disappointed. When we arrived we did not get the room we anticipated but since we arrived in the evening we accepted the no bathtub handicapped room without too much fuss. The big surprise was that there was going to be no free internet access from our room and since this was primarily a business trip that was going to be an issue. Our colleagues who had booked directly through the hotel were receiving free in room internet so we naturally expected the same. The guest coordinator was very nice in his refusal and sent a fruit and cheese plate to our room for our inconvenience. The room itself wasn't very clean as evidenced by the bottoms of my socks(no carpeting) and the bed too high off of the floor to be comfortable (I have rather short legs). The bathroom had a stone floor that always seemed wet so dressing in there was not possible. The television was not working properly and it took a couple of phone calls to receive maintenance on it. The room was poorly lit and one of the fixtures completely broken and never repaired. Overall, this resort was more like the discount motor lodges I used to visit with my family when I was a child. It might have been ok for one night but we needed to be there longer than that and it was, quite frankly, an unpleasant experience. On the plus side, the Convention Center portion of the hotel was very nice, clean, well lit and we enjoyed the seminars we attended there. It was the best part of our stay. I wish I could say we would stay here again but.......

The staff at the Wyndham- Orlando Resort was extremely nice especially the Club Car drivers it was a total International crew. The location was Excellent, near restaurants easy accessible to the Parks. On the downside the hotel needs alot of work, we had to have our room changed three times. The 1st room the security lock was broken off, 2nd room smellled of mold, the 3rd room hadn't been cleaned and this was suppose to be an upgrade because of the problems in the other rooms. We finally got another upgrade and the room smelled very good when we first got there but the next day mold smelled again. We had to call everyday for wash clothes, hand towels, bath rug coffee etc. because they never fully serviced our room daily as it should have been.

Can never reach the front desk on the phone..its impossible, Either the phone just rings or they put you on hold and forget about you. Parking when we were there was non-existing. Convention was going on at the time and there was never any parking no matter what time of day. Ended parking blocks away.,,,,,,,ridiculous! And for my friends with pets, the only pet friendly thing about this hotel is that they allow you to bring for the $* fee. Other than that they want no part of it and also ridiculous restrictions.
