I was not made aware that a handicap rm with dble beds was not available when I checked in. Bathrm was very inconvenient for my needs and the ramp to the entry door was dangerous using a motorized chair. Vending machine was not available only in the main bldg, very far away. The manager John, made amends for my inconvenience and was very understanding and apologetic. Kept his calm, non argumentative and offered his assistance if/ when we should travel that way again.

I stay at the Paramount Plaza every 1 to 2 weeks over the spring and summer when I have to travel to Gainesville to teach. I always get a King size room, which includes free wifi, a small patio, and roomy accomodations. The room is very clean and the bed and pillows are comfortable. The price is the best I have seen for the accomodations provided. Room service is hit or miss. Breakfast is reasonable and the sausage is great, but service does not start till 0700, which is usually after my departure time. I tend to purchase dinner elsewhere after a bad experience with a baked potato (raw, rotten). With room service fees, tends to be very expensive-up to $30 and not up to par for that price. Regardless, I continue to stay here due to its close proximity (about 1.5 miles) to UF, and the great rooms.

I paid for a non-smoking king size bedroom. When I arrived they said they had put me in that, but when I went to the room, it was a smoking king size room. I found a rusted earring underneath the couch, and the place reaked. It was a nice view though, the balcony was right on the river. But, I didn't feel very clean. I told housekeeping to clean my room while I was at the game, and she said okay but when I returned my room was not clean at all. Also, do not put the key next to a cell phone or such because I couldn't get into my building because the key had been demagnetized and I had to walk around the entire hotel to the lobby so I could get the strip magnetized again. I was very unhappy with the amount that I had to pay for the cleanliness of the room. It got the job done but overall I was very unhappy with my experience.

OUR STAY WAS VERY PLEASANT, THE STAFF WERE VERY PROMPT AND FRIENDLY. THE ROOM WAS CLEAN AND VERY NICE, THE GROUNDS WERE VERY NICELY LANDSCAPED AND THE POOL WAS AWESOME! WE WILL BE BACK!
