we were there for a marine reunion & stayed in room 2760 in the sky tower which is a hike from the casino-it was fine if you wanted to save a few bucks plus they have a tram that takes you there-the north tower is more convenient but costs more-on the plus side for the sky tower, you can park right under the tower & the hotel is very close to highway 80-the restaurants were good-the staff was all friendly-they give you 'fun bucks' which gives some savings-the hotel is attached to silver legacy & eldorado which is nice-we were there for 5 nights & had a very nice time-try to go to pyramid lake which is about a half hour away-it is considered the most beautiful of all of the desert lakes-very memorable!

This is a great location to stay at in Reno. The rooms were clean but seem a bit out dated. The beds were comfortable, the shower is loud when its on. The people/staff were nice and helpful except for the promotion people . It is central to all the gambling action but yet has all the activities for the family. For the grown ups, this location is connected by a mezzanine level to the Silver Legacy and the Eldorado hotels. So if you don't find a particular game you prefer, just walk over to the other hotels and you might find it there. There are a couple of restaurants in the Circus Circus that only open on certain days and at certain hours. The Smokin' Gecko's restaurant serves BBQ/Sushi type foods which were pretty good. The other restaurants were your typical american style eateries. For the Kids, the Arcade/Amusement areas are great! There are carnival games as well as ticket games for the kids to trade in for prizes. The best part of it all is the nightly performances of the Circus acts. There is a schedule posted throughout the hotel which gives you information on who is performing at certain times of the night. The only downside that we experienced was that there was no pool. The fitness room was off in a distance which would be a workout to even get there. Restrooms were hard to find around the casino/arcade. The carnival games opened at a certain time of day. I would recommend this place for any traveling family that has younger kids as they will have fun with all the activities in the area.

Check-in on a Monday at 2:30 p.m. took almost a half and hour because of a fairly long line and only two clerks on duty. But they, and all of the staff, were very friendly and accommodating throughout our six-day stay. We are not talking luxury here, but the room was clean and quite adequate. When we called housekeeping for additional shampoo and cups, they were provided promptly. If you are "gaming" or simply using Reno as a jumping off point for trips into the Sierras or to Lake Tahoe, this is a great place to stay. In addition to reasonable rates (to attract you to the casino), there is ample free self-parking, indoor connectivity to two other casinos, and only a three block trip to Interstate 80. There are constant security bicycle patrols of the garage in the middle of the complex, and security personnel are all over the place...a nice feeling. An added feature this summer is the inaugural season of the Arizona Diamondbacks AAA minor league baseball team, the Reno Aces. The Aces are located in a brand new stadium, which is an easy walk from the hotel.
