This was a last-minute check in. The pictures don't do the rooms justice. When I stayed there, they had a super-cute/modern carpet as well as bedding, and the beds were SUPER comfy! It felt like they had some memory foam topper or something on them...slept great! I'll admit, the neighborhood probably wasn't the absolute best, but I didn't ever feel unsafe there. And there was a security guard at night making rounds on the premises. I wasn't awake early enough for the breakfast, but I heard it was good. The staff was always friendly & helpful, never rude or slow to get us the things we needed. The location was pretty good, as far as being easy to find/get to and distance to various attractions. Price can be a little high if you're a last-minute check in, like we were, but the value is definitely worth it with a discounted rate. This will probably where I stay whenever I visit Austin!

We stayed here for one night and it was the best hotel of our trip. It was pretty easy to find, and had easy access to downton, via Congress St. The beds were extremely comfortable and the room was clean and spacious. My husband and step-son swam in the pool and said it was about 5 feet deep at the most, but they had fun. The breakfast had muffins, yogurt, and bread, which worked for us. The only negative thing was that we had to wait for a few minutes at check out, because the clerk was not at the front desk. I would definitely stay here again.

This is rated a 4 star and that is not accurate in the least. This is a 2 star hotel. My non-smoking room stunk of smoke so badly that my suitcase (which was kept shut other than unpacking and packing) needed to be air out upon arriving at home. Decent for the price, but understand you are not getting a 4 star steal here.

The hotel was clean, in a good location and was close to downtown and 6th Street, all very important to us. Only issue we had was that we left a note for housekeeping asking for more towels, and left a few dollars for them. Housekeeping took the tip but didn't bother to give us extra towels. We requested again the next day and still nothing. Other than that, I would definitely recommend this hotel.

A nicely upgrade hotel disappoints when it fails to meet the customer's expectations. It was a surprise to dicover we got a second floor and had to carry heavy bags up stairs -- no elevator. Then, as dependent as we are on the Internet, it failed after a few days and was mostly unavailble for the rest of the week. Having a beer bottle shoved under the front tire in their lot was a reminder that the area is a bit rough.
