I'm a single mom and traveled with my two daughters, ages 16 and 13. We enjoyed our stay immensely. The only disappointment was that the ocean front rooms with double beds do NOT include a balcony. Hotel staff was helpful and courteous. Maid service was done early and we received plenty of towels. Pool towels are included but cannot be taken onto the beach; however no one monitors this and hotel staff does not stop the guests from doing this. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again. Location is great. Some advice: Great places to eat: Bubba Gump, Ocean Deck, Light house restaurant, Gatorville.

Stayed there in the middle of June. NIce place right on Daytona Shores Beach. The room was clean, beds were comfortable. The food in the restaurant was good and reasonably priced. Water pressure in the shower was great!

Stayed here with my family over a long weekend. Very nice resort. Great clean rooms, great beds, very high class. Tailored towards couples with no kids or a girls spa weekend getaway. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The kids were fine here, but everything was so upscale, that many of the other guests really looked down their nose at children. Would stay here again, just not with the kids.

We've stayed at The Shores Resort and Spa several times. It is located right on the beach. The rooms are clean, spacious and gorgeous. They have a 5 star restaurant located on site with indoor and outdoor dining. There is a very large patio with a beautiful pool and hot tub. Several covered cabanas can be closed in for full privacy. There is a lovely tiki bar and dining by the pool is common. All of the staff is extremely pleasant and friendly. There is live light music at night in the lounge and a romantic fire pit outdoors overlooking the ocean. They will even supply you with the ingredients to do up some smores for that sweet tooth. You've got to go!
