We stayed at this hotel for a long weekend and I would not recommend it. We booked our stay theret because of the inexpensive rate and we wanted something in close proximity to Saratoga and Lake George. The hotel was dingy and in need of a thorough cleaning. I noticed the dirtiness when entering the side of the hotel where our room was located. Glass was covered in fingerprints, entryway and hallway smelled of smoke and mustiness and needed a good vacuuming. Room itself had a musty odor, bathroom looked unclean. Not enough drawer space, beds covered in a polyester bedspread. Housekeeping did not provide towels to replace dirty ones. When we asked them for more towels they informed us they could bring more after they wash them?? Decor throughout very dated and tacky. Front clerk damanded we pay for half of our stay up front when we checked in. When we checked out we were almost charged the full rate as if we hadn't already paid half. Good thing we noticed.

We checked in after midnight. The front desk gave sketchy directions how to get to the room and we had to return to the lobby. Finally found the right door into the building, which was not locked, but had a key lock that was inoperable. There was an odor in the hallway and the carpet was dirty. We went up to the 2nd floor and found our room which was very old and the a/c did not work. We changed rooms and the next hallway also smelled funny. Found out from the front desk that none of the outside doors locked. There was absolutely no security for this site, which made me very uncomfortable knowing that anyway was able to walk into the hotel at any given time. The room was okay for one night, but nothing more than that. The towels were well worn. We were glad to leave this place and would never stay there again.

Very convenient to Albany Intl. Airport. Older facilitiy with some upgrades. Clean though some wear and tear. Indoor pool was closed with no posted reason. Front desk wasn't sure why. Excellent complimentary breakfast with early 5:00 am start. Located off end of runway so early morning flights taking off provide wake-up call. Best room price found in this area.

The mattress cover had a lot of hair on it. This was brought to their attention and the chair had a spot on it, which I covered with a sheet. The manager apologized. The mattress cover and all the bed linens were changed and a complimentary dinner was provided. Other than those concerns, the room was clean, beautiful and newly remodeled and the staff was friendly and helpful.
