We went there on our trip because me and my husband got married there. We showed up at 11 am and we checked with the hotel to see if there were rooms ready and there weren't. Which we knew that noon was the check out time so we went and gambled for an hour. We went back to check in a little after noon and there still weren't ready and we were told to come back in another hour. So we went and ate at Mel's dinner (it was really good). And then about 1:30 pm we went back thinking we could get a room because we were all tired from the flight and there were still no rooms ready. So by three we got a hold of the desk manager and we got a room in 20 minutes. The braclets were awesome all you can drink. It was REALLY smokey in the downstairs part that it about made us sick. Other casino's were that bad around us. My husband went and got a massage and the lady told him not to play the slots because you wouldn't win. When we went to other hotels and played the slots we were winning and coming out even. Then on Sat. night we smelled pot coming threw our vents and the front desk wasn't doing anything about it until my husband called them for a third time and they sent maintance up there to cover our vent and even he said we shouldn't have to deal with the smell. And the hot tub is nice, but way to hot! Next time we will stay in the Elderodo. That was my favorite hotel that we went in. Nice resturants and no smoke smell, and great service.

We have always stayed at the Legacy, but this trip we decided to try the Sands. We were amazed. This is a great place and for the price it is outstanding. The rooms are bigger than the Legacy and while it has a different motif, I think they are every bit as nice if not nicer. There is an inhouse Arbys and Mel's Diner is also on the premises. We didn't get to try the buffet. My only complaint would be no coffee pot in the room, but I can live with that. I would definitely recommend the Sands.

Well, let's start with the elevator that smelled like urine and had a nail on the floor. Add to that the fact that I still am aching from the sleeping on a mattress, every coiled spring of which jabbed my ribs and spine all night. There are slightly more expensive options which are well worth an additional $*-$*/night.
