My teenage daughter and I met extended family for a weekend in San Diego. The hotel was the perfect choice for us. As usual in my experience with Embassy Suites, the rooms were large and clean. My brother checked in before we did and they gave us a complimentary upgrade so our room would be next to my brother's on the bay side. Breakfast service and area were excellent. The manager's reception was the big bonus. I was expecting stale chips and boxed wine, but they were pouring full bar service and had some great little microbrews on tap - just what the doctor ordered after a day at the zoo or wild animal park. The pool was fine and the hot tub area was delightful - outside with comfy couches and loungers. Front desk and bell staff were very helpful and even hooked us up with a ride to the airport in the now-discontinued shuttle...just because it was available when we wanted to go. I highly recommend this property. Seaport Village is just across the street and the gaslamp district is a nice walk.

First of all, the room was very nice and a great set-up for a roommate/work trip situation. The complementary breakfast and happy hour were also very nice perks. However, I was not told when I signed up for internet ($12.95/night) that this was the charge per computer, not per room, so my roommate and I were both charged to have internet each night on each of our computers. Also, the valet claims that we parked a car in their lot for 2 nights, which is a complete lie. They have very specific details claiming that we indeed had a car parked and are responsible for this cost. I am still in the process of straightening this matter out, so I still have a $58 charge on my credit card that is the fault of the hotel. Not sure if I would stay there again, pending how this faulty valet charge works out...

Great hotel is in a great location. We were only a block away from Seaport Village and within walking distance to some of the museums on the water and area where cruise ships dock. Gas Lamp District was also within walking distance and had plenty of restaurants/bars. Only downside was the cost for parking. But at $28 per day, its pretty average for all hotels in the area. Plus, its all valet, so you dont have to worry about finding a parking spot.

This is a well kept hotel that is very family friendly!! You cannot beat the price with the evening reception for drinks and snacks - then to have a huge breakfast!! WOW! The food was great and could be made to order! Very clean and the staff were very curtious and helpful. We will stay there again for sure! The only thing is that they could have softer tissues.
