  We discovered a backed up toilet when we checked in. The hotel quickly sent someone to fix it. He left a filthy mess! The floor was not cleaned after the overflow. The nasty, dirty towels were left in the bathroom. The workman castigated us for "putting too much paper" in the toilet. The floor was so filthy that it was sticky. Much to my chagrin, I discovered that fact in the middle of the night when I walked in there barefooted. When I complained to the front desk, I was met with complacency and apparent disinterest. The clerk apologized, but it was so perfunctory that I felt sure she couldn?t care less.

  Staff was very nice.No Wi-Fi or at least it was slow as can be. Room A/C was very loud. I have to go to Bakersfield once a month; my stay here is out of convience. I would appreciate having DVD players in the room.

  We stayed at this hotel so that we could be closer to the buttonwillow racetrack... it was almost 40 minutes away from the racetrack so it's definitely not a ...

  We stayed at this hotel so that we could be closer to the Buttonwillow racetrack... it was almost 40 minutes away from the racetrack so it's definitely not a short hike for that type of trip... Hotel itself was nice... there were some people listening to music in the parking lot (through their car stereos) and that noise permeated the room until midnight. Not sure if someone from the hotel finally told them to turn it down or if they just left... All in all though it was a decent hotel. We forgot to bring toothpaste and they gave us a tube, free of charge, which was nice.

  I have stayed at holiday inns in various states several times and have always been pleased with the service and cleanliness of the hotel. i highly recommend staying there.
