My family had a pleasant stay at this Hotel. We decided to take one last weekend trip before back to school and it was just perfect. The second floor room had a great view of the water and was spacious. Clean, comfortable and reasonablly priced for the Island. The breakfast room was a little crowded in the morning, not much you can do, looked like everyone was travelling with kids at this time of the year. We plan to return in December.

This is my first time using ONLINE TRAVEL WEBSITE !. And i am very inpressed!. My daughter set this mini vacation to Padre Island up via computer, to which i am just now learning how to use!. The Best Western was outstanding!. The room was huge and clean and had two queen sized beds!. Checking in was a breezy!, And the hotel was located within walking distance to everything you could possibly need!. Watch out for the gift shoppes they are so big you will never get her out of there!. Overall i had a wonderful time and look forward to using Travelocity in the future!. Thanks From a old USMC Vet!.

Good hotel with limited amenities, the staff was friendly and room was clean. The boat parking is really convienient, they also accomodate pets. I'll be going back on my next fishing trip.

The other reviews are so true. I did not feel safe at all. Our door did not shut all the way without lifiting and slamming it shut and then there was an inch gap at the bottom which we noticed only in the middle of the night because the wind storm that hit the area was whistling like a siren thru in. I pushed towels in it for the duration of the night since we did not want to repack and move.. We had a smoking room which did not smell clean and a jacuzzi tub we paid extra for that was not clean. Overall the experience was not nice and I would not reccommend it to anyone. You have to cross a busy highway to get into this hotel and as far as access to a beach or the ocean - forget it. You might be able to see some water from the second floor window of one of the rooms, otherwise your view is a dumpster and a parking lot that doesnt look like it ever is cleaned. I feel sorry for the staff that are stuck working at a Best Western that was obvious not built right nor maintained. They were as nice as they could be under the circumstances without giving us a discount or reduction in our room even after I complained. I think there is a no money back policy because we were not the only people staying there unhappy as we shared stories with the neighbors while packing our car. The internet did not work as well which is not good on a combined business vacation trip! The bed was hard and this room the most expensive of 5 at B.W.'s stayed at during a 5 day road trip. Never again!

Complaints to staff regarding safety and security issues were ignored. Specifically, windows to rooms which may not lock properly, or not at all. Was moved from one bad room to another with same problem, plus leaking a/c. Was deeply troubled that staff placed another guest in my original room where window did not lock at all. A total disregard for the security of guests. Not to mention that this action contradicts their commitment and pledge to guests.
For the price I expected better. For the inconvenience, I would have expected an adjustment to "motel" charges. None to date.
