Three of us stayed at this nice hotel in February 2009. The room was very nice and clean with three comfortable twin beds, a TV, and a good-size bathroom with a nice tub and shower. Our room did not face the street (a pedestrian-only street) and was very quiet. The breakfast cost 9 euros but was worth it -- good coffee or tea or hot chocolate, really good rolls and pastries, fruit and juices, and cheeses and cold cuts. The lounge was open all day and had Internet access (wireless, as well as one wired PC for anyone to use). The staff was friendly, and the breakfast staff were really great -- made you feel very welcome. And the location is great -- it's in a pedestrian area near the Puerta del Sol and close to the Plaza Mayor.

First night in room without outside window and bathroom which was approx three feet deep. Second and third nights in newer, very nice room, but only after complaint. Friday/Saturday night discos close by-----very noisy and no sleep. Shuttle, which was included as per the travel website booking, was not honoured. Cost 57 euros to/from airport. Location is excellent if you don't stay on weekend.

  • Location, location, location....

This hotel is ideally located for getting around the city (<5 minute from a few metro stations and quick walk to major plazas and good food).

  • Excellent, I would stay again.

The first time, the room was a little small, but the second time the room has a balcony, very nice to sit on in the cool evening.
