We stay here all the time when we are visiting family in La Mesa. (No room at the house for us to stay!) When they first renovated this Holiday Inn, the rooms were very nice -- flat screen tv, fridge, granite countertops, great bathroom -- but the beds were rock hard. I complained several times about this and told them if they were to improve the beds, this would be a great place to stay. I told them just a mattress topper would do a world of good. Well, we returned for another visit and lo and behold, mattress toppers were on the bed! I know it wasn't just because of my complaints as I see many others have complained about the hard beds. Well, just to let everyone know, this issue has been fixed. The beds are very comfortable now. The wireless internet services is very reliable too. The only complaint would probably be the pool. It was very small. But overall, a very nice place to stay.

I stayed here for two nights, I was tense for a while due to the last review that I had read here, but I was very suprised. The area is nice and safe. The front desk was always willing to help. The rooms were nice, all renovated. All the staff was courteous. The room were nicely lit, and comfortable. Some renovations were still being done but the noise was kept to a minimum, besides the rooms seem to keep the noise out, and therefore were very quiet. There are various places to eat around the area, if you don't want to eat at the restaurant on the premises. Although the breakfast there is pretty good. I would definetely stay there again. without a doubt.
