I travel to Des Moines for business every month. I chose this hotel for the location and service. They have also recently renovated hotel and I see changes everytime I visit. New restaurant and fitness center is fabulous. I highly recommend it. I heard they even have rooms with two baths which would be great if I was traveling with family.

My husband and I stayed in the ""king sized suite"" on the night of our wedding and assumed this room would have a king sized bed. We were suprised to find that the room actually had a double bed. The bed was not only smaller than we wanted but was also very uncomfortable. The bathroom was also extremely small and didn't appear to be very clean. It was lterally one of the smallest bathrooms I have ever seen. Since we didn't check in until after our wedding reception we weren't able to switch to a room with a bigger bed and the hotel staff didn't do much to remedy the situation. They advised they would have the hotel manager call us which never happened. For the money they charge I would have rather stayed at Hotel Fort Des Moines or the Marriott, as both of those hotels have better parking and are also closer to some of the downtown restaurants.

We stayed at this hotel for the weekend. Its hard to find and when we finally got into our room it was just a room. It was so small we couldn't belive it. We had a room that the bed took up most of the space. A bathroom was connected to the room. The water would turn cold in the shower. It was a fancy looking room, but too small for what we paid for it. The only good thing was we got free valet survice for our stay and it was close to the Wells Fargo Center where the Rodeo was that we were down there for. I would not choose to stay in this hotel again I would rather stay at the Super 8 and get a room that I probably would pay less for. We paid 262 for two nights. Way to much for this small room.
