My wife Ann and I recently completed a 14 day trip to Eastern and Central Europe including our trip for two nights in Denmark and the last night in Amsterdam. We had booked our room at Hotel D?Angleterre many months in advance of arriving at the hotel and we were looking forward to staying at this exclusive 5 star hotel. The hotel was the perfect accommodation for the end of our trip. We stayed there for two nights in a room with a beautiful view to the old harbor district and enjoyed the Danish hospitality. The room was very romantic with all its antique furniture and the staff provided us with great service. All in all it was a fantastic trip through Europe and we will definitely return toCopenhagen and D?Angleterre in the future again.

We arrived on Thursday after booking months in advance - a superior room with an extra bed for our young child. On arrival there was no extra bed in the room, we called reception, they said they would fix it. We left for the day and returned at 8PM, there was still no extra bed. We called reception and after waiting about half an hour the bed arrived. I then thought I'd treat myself to a bath after a long day, there was no plug in the bath. I called reception, she said she would contact housekeeping. The plug did not arrive. I went into reception next morning and again asked about a plug. One arrived during day 2, but didn't fit the plughole. On Saturday evening, as we walked out of the lift and approached out door we found it open and can only surmise that it had stood open since the beds had been made by housekeeping some 6 or 7 hours earlier. Luckily nothing was taken but it left and extremely bad taste, we felt as though our space had been violated. This is unforgivable. Hotel is extremely grand and beautiful, room and bed were both extremely large and comfortable, however, apart from a very small wardrobe, there was nowhere to put your clothes, no drawers or cupboards, so we all had to live out of our suitcases for 5 nights. I realise that the hotel was built in the days when it's guests would have travelled with their individual Louis Vuitton wardrobe-trunks but this is the 21st century. The pool was closed. The restaurant was excellent.
