The front desk and staff were extremely friendly throughout my stay. I was in a double room, and the bathroom counter was not really sufficient for two people's basics. However, the rest of the room was sized nicely. The shower was a little off in terms of temperature; it was hard to get both water pressure and cool water. (Cool showers were the order of the day in the heat and humidity.) The room temperature was fine, a little warm for my taste but reasonable. The rooms were very quiet, and the beds were quite comfortable. They had small reading lights on each bed, which I liked and appreciated. The hotel is about halfway between the Dupont Circle (Red line) and Foggy Bottom/GWU (Orange/Blue line) metro stops. It's a reasonable walk, but Dupont is uphill the whole way. The hotel itself seems overpriced during the week. For that amount, I'd expect luxury instead of standard mid-to-high tier hotel fare.

I needed a location close to both the Red and Blue Metro lines. This was perfect. It's also close to the great restaurants at Dupont Circle, although the hotel restaurant itself offered delicious food and excellent service even at odd times of the day and evening. Room was very comfortable, clean, and quiet. No annoying sounds from adjoining rooms or hall. The bedding was extra cushy. Hotel staff were exceptionally helpful and pleasant. A computer terminal dedicated to airline e-ticket printing allowed me to check-in for my flight and register baggage the evening before departure. The 24-hour Walgreens next door also has an ATM.

The hotel was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi were nice. We had room service a couple of times and the food was good. The location was good as well. It was a short walk to the subway and to Georgetown but we felt safe, even at night. The staff was this hotel's best feature, they were great. If I did have a complaint, it would be about the television reception, some channels were clear and some were fuzzy. Although it was on a nice flat screen TV.

We used the Metro system to get around rather than dealing with a car, and this hotel was about a 10-minute walk from two Metro stations. Not bad, but we expected to be closer. Fortunately, the weather was good, so the walks to and from the stations were not an issue. The room was very nice, including a large flat-panel TV, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, and coffee maker. There was no included breakfast, which I wish we would have known going into the restaurant. We ended up paying $10 for two slices of french toast! Way over-priced! So we didn't eat breakfast in the hotel's restaurant after that morning. The only other complaint we had is that there must be a fire station located a block or two away, because we did hear sirens quite a bit. But we apparently slept through any that sounded overnight. :) Overall, it was a pleasant stay, and I would recommend this hotel to others. Just wanted to make everyone aware of the couple flaws we found. But other than that, it was a great hotel.
