The hotel did not give me the room that I booked through Travel online. Booked 2 queen beds and got 2 full beds. The hotel did not advise us of the shuttle service, we had to take a cab from the airport to the hotel when we arrived that Friday and took another cab to USD that Saturday morning. While we were outside waiting on the cab to arrive, we found out about the shuttle service. Fortunately, the shuttle driver gave us his cell phone number and we called him to come pick us up after our business was completed at the university. He was very pleasant.

I had no problem with this hotel. When coming in for the night, parking lot was always nearly full, but I always found a place to park. Nice employees. I would stay again with no problem.

This hotel is in despirate need of a remodel. The carpet in the hall looked like a saggy stocking, rippling and rolling down the length of the hall. The elevator was slow. The decore was from the 70's, and still in use. But the bathroom was the worst! The toilet seat had been cleaned so many times, or been in use for so long, that layers of plastic were peeling off it and it displayed extreem discolorations and stains. The tub refused to drain and then worse, the water level increased over night leaving 3 inches of gray water to greet us in the morning. I have been in many truck stops whos bathrooms were much more pleasant to use. I skipped the morning shower and thought I would try my luck as some Taco Bell down the road.

I was locked in with the " Silver Lining Deal" booked and payed for before and after my cruise in this hotel. It was a bit noisy with the tile floors in the hallways and the noticeable wide gap on bottom of doors. We could hear everything. We were next to an entrance and exit which the door would shut Loudly. I did not like the fact people would pound on the door to get your attention trying to get you to open the door, they claim to have forgotten or locked themselves out. The proper procedure is to go the the front desk show your ID and get yourself a Key. I know this is a problem elsewhere and not only at this property, but the safety of its guest as well as their belongings is an issue. I am back from my cruise and am here and had requested to not be in the same area as my first stay before I left. We are in a different part and will leave another review with this stay. The front desk staff seems very friendly when we checked in. We asked for information and they were very helpful. Will keep you updated on this part of my next stay.

Our family of 4 stayed the end of May 2008, it was a small room but great location. Staff was great! Got our laundry done and worked out in there little gym. Just if the rooms were bigger it would have been perfect.
