I went with my husband and boys to clearwater to visit some family. I got to the hotel and realizes that it's right next to a strip club. Then I went in and got my room key. When we got to the room I saw that there were bugs crawling everywhere. On top of that it smelled really bad. When I went to lay my boys down to sleep in the bed the sheets were dirty. I called the front office and the people were rude. So I never wanted to stay in the hotel unless we were sleeping. I couldn't get my money back because I payed online already. When we checked out on Monday. The person at the desk asked how was my stay. I told him about the dirty sheets and all. He said sorry sometimes our maids forget to take the sheets off so they can be clean. That is really gross. So don't stay there.

Better then I expected for the price paid. The room was surprisingly clean and had all the basic hotel amenities including a fridge, eletronic safe, and microwave. Oddly, it had two large televisions instead of one. The room was larger than most two-bed rooms I've stayed in. Staff was friendly and the exterior of the building is very nice.
However the room smelled of smoke, despite being non-smoking and had a cigarette burn on the bathroom counter.
The door did not properly fit the frame which allowed a lot of light in (and presumably heat). You could practically see people walk by your door. This could make stayers feel a bit unsafe.
The hotel is adjacent to a strip club, but has a 5 foot wall that sepeartes the two.
The electronic safe would not respond to our card and would not open.
I expected a lot less for the value, but was overall pleased. It is about a 15 minute drive to the beach (without heavy traffic) and is a good rent for someone on a tight budget but still needs a place to sleep. -

Service and breakfast was good but we would never stay there again! The price was cheap & we got what we paid for. Someone kept banging on our door at night insisting we were someone they new. There is a mens club right next to it and it looks like people go to that hotel afterwards...

First of all, it is NOT in Clearwater. It is in Largo. It is a less-than-desireable area. The rooms are very clean but the clientele is creepy. One guy approached my husband for money and we were not thrilled about that. There are some people that just hang around outside the rooms, not too comfortable for me. We hated our stay and would NOT stay there again. If you have children, I advise to find somewhere with a safer area. We did not have HBO as it said we would. The tv was a 15inch with horrible reception. There was no coffee maker in our room and we had to call to get one and when we did it was missing the cover where the water goes. The coffee was good, however. All in all, we are so fortunate we could go to St. Pete for the whole day and ride around for the second day. We didn't even use the pool or hottub because of the people lurking around and gawking. Management should do something about that, although directly next door is a topless night club.....what a nightmare!! Just use your own judgement and good luck!
