My family's first experience was last spring. We got in late only to discover no hot water, the whole family took cold showers. I thought anyone can have an off day so I booked again for my cousins wedding this summer. I only require 2 things for a hotel 1)Must have continental breakfast 2)Must have pool. I especially needed the pool for my husband's recent injury & the 110 degree heat. Of course the pool was green, the breakfast was stale, the non-smoking room had burn holes all over the bed and the service was lousy! I received no compensation, no assistance with relocating to accommodate my needs and couldn't even speak to someone in charge. I can only hope there is better out there!

I have stayed here several times on business and each time there has been a problem with Internet access. Internet access is provided via Wi-Fi. Once the password would not work, other times the signal strength was awful. I don't know how many travelers tend to carry an external wireless access point with a high-gain antenna, but I do and that is what I had to use to get a signal. The Staff is nice and efficient.

While the promise of a free breakfast and staying in a suite made me pick this hotel, once I got there I could tell I've been buffalo'd. the rooms were hardly suites and when I questioned the front desk about that fact I was told some story about the rooms being junior suites, what is that really?? Also the room I stayed in had build up in the window so the curtain was all stained at the bottom but hey at least I got my free breakfast.

Have stayed at this hotel 4 different times when visiting family in Bakersfield. For the price, it provides us a reasonably clean and large room with a continental breakfast. Have had minor annoyances with random things not working but hotel staff always has been prompt to accomodate and fix whatever problems. Overall, we like the place and will stay there again. Good value and good hotel.

08/13/2008Was very pleased. really no complaints. the staff was very friendly and helpful. nice and quiet room. great location close to eating establishments and highway. would stay there again.
