The first room we were given was a lobby facing room with a balcony. We could clearly hear the noise in the nearly empty lobby during the day and were afraid we wouldn't be able to sleep that night (the lobby has a restaurant, bar, seating area and television). We asked for another room and were given an outside facing room with an air conditioning unit so loud it was impossible to sleep. My daughters bed also had a huge dip in the middle that was very uncomfortable The hotel was full so we were unable to get another room. When asked to speak to a manager in the middle of the night we were told that the manager couldn't be bothered at night and we would have to wait until the morning to speak with him. When asked in the morning to speak to the manager we were told they would try to get in touch with him and call us later.The front desk clerk we dealt with was difficult, but she did get in touch with the manager and told us they would not refund any of our stay and the manager would get back with me some time Monday. I was able to get hold of the customer service representative but never the manager.After leaving several messages I still have not spoken with management.Between the missing management, the rude front desk clerk and the lack of sleep I am very disappointed in my stay and will hesitate to stay at another Holiday Inn in the future.

My first impression of this hotel was wow! This is the nicest looking Holiday Inn I have ever been in. My last impression upon leaving was "I will never stay here again. We stopped here for one night on our way to Hilton Head. We were at this hotel for one reason only, to sleep. We did not sleep much at all. The AC unit in our room was so, so loud. I slept in the bed with my 8 year old daughter. We lay together in a double bed and were unable to hear each other speak, it was so loud. The four of us ;hubby, 2 year old son and her and I actually gave up trying to sleep by 4:40am, it was just that loud. We tried turning it off, but the room was so stuffy, and it was so hot outside, that within 10 minutes we turned it back on again. Upon departure I discussed this with the woman at the front desk, and she deducted our bill, by $23 dollars! We spent $99 plus tax to sleep, and did not get any sleep. And the best they could do was $23 off the bill. I asked for manager, but was told there was none, that she was in charge. If you want a pretty hotel, stay here. If you want to sleep, don't.

my wife and i were in town on vacation. we stayed for three days. the hotel was great. the hotel is in a great location. the rooms were very very clean. great service from everyone who worked there. breakfast buffett was good ($7.95). pool area was well kept and clean, i saw someone cleaning and checking it every morning we were there. we will stay here again when we are in town and will tell any of our friends to stay there if they go to asheville.

Just off I-26 and I-40, this hotel has been completely updated. Family enjoyed the heated pool. Had entertainment the night we stayed in their lounge. Buffet a deal at $6.95. Will definitely stay here on the way back through town.
