We've stayed there twice. Last August, our room was on the 4th floor at building's front. The revelers on the sidewalk coming from the bars kept us awake pretty much all night. So keep that in mind if you want a room across from Christchurch. This time (January) we got a room overlooking the inner ""courtyard""--laundry trucks, dumpsters (rubbish bins)--and it was much quieter. Plus it was fascinating to see how vehicles were continually manuevered and reparked around such a small congested area. Much quieter! Remodeling is going on. Our room was fine, except it would be great if they had a more comfortable chair to sit in(no room for that). The mattresses are quite firm. Location is what brings us back. We can walk nearly anywhere, but the Hop-on Hop-off bus stop is just around the corner if you prefer that. Taxis are always available. We'll probably stay there again.

04/25/2007The receptionist charge and void my card twice with the amount that's much more than i'm suppose to pay. the room was warm and stuffy when we got ...
The receptionist charge and void my card twice with the amount that's much more than I'm suppose to pay. The room was warm and stuffy when we got in coz it has no air condition and no ventilation. We have to open the window and bear with the noise from the main road all night including the hourly church bell. When I ask for a shower cap, shockingly, they said they don't have it! Not to mention, that we've to pay for parking! We have reserved for 2 nights, but after we saw the room, we decided to move out. With the money, you could have found a better place to stay.

The receptionist charge and void my card twice with the amount that's much more than I'm suppose to pay. The room was warm and stuffy when we got in coz it has no air condition and no ventilation. We have to open the window and bear with the noise from the main road all night including the hourly church bell. When I ask for a shower cap, shockingly, they said they don't have it! Not to mention, that we've to pay for parking! We have reserved for 2 nights, but after we saw the room, we decided to move out. With the money, you could have found a better place to stay.
