This was a beautiful hotel & made for a wonderful evening. I live in the same city & sometimes get a room downtown to have a weekend away but without the travel. This time I stayed at the Hilton... I have always enjoyed the Piano bar and the great Art Deco Architecture of the building... so I had a feeling I would love the rooms too. I spent a little extra to get a King Whirlpool room & so glad I did! The room was huge & it had the most wonderful corner whirlpool bathtub in the bathroom. The room was comfortable... the staff was great! I would definately stay here again!

This hotel is fabulous. The minute you walk in, you are surrounded by the elegance of a grand hotel. Everyone was very friendly, and the room was beautiful. We were in town for a couple of baseball games, and this location is perfect for a short walk to the ballpark. If you're a history buff, you'll love this place. I would definitely stay here again!

Stay was 8/29/09, we returned to this hotel after staying there last year and enjoying it very much. We had a mini king suite, it was very spacious and comfortable. We love the bar, there was a really good combo with vocalist on Sat. night that was very entertaining. Service throughout the hotel was excellent. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

I just arrived home from a convention held here and cannot begin to describe how completely horrible the customer service was. They lost my reservation three times! I ended up in a smoke-filled room (with thick dust on the baseboards), in a supposedly smoke-free property. After dinner at a property outside the hotel, our group of 6 chose to come back to the Hilton for dessert. There were 6 orders of coffee and cake. Our coffees arrived quickly, but 30 minutes later no desserts and our waitress was avoiding us. One member finally stopped her and inquired on their ETA, and was told "They will be out when they are ready!". Another 15min. passed, our desserts finally arrived, only after we tracked down the manager who was completely disinterested and said, they were busy. (The restaurant was empty!) While at dinner housekeeping made its way into my room and left the door ajar and unlocked. I finaaly got my room changed with the day manager. At lunch they served pork only and when I requested a vegetarian option I was rudely told that it would be 20 minutes as there was no other option. After speaking with our conference managers, there were other options ordered by our group. The hotel my UPS package. After checking 3x I was told it hadn’t arrived and the shipping dept. closed at 5 (now 5:15), so I needed to come back the next morning (when I was checking out). I told them the sender tracked it and it arrived. After speaking with the head concierge (front desk was useless)we tracked it and it arrived at the mail room at 9AM and they called the wrong guest to confirm arrival. Lastly, the bag clerk broke the adjustable handle on my carry-on. Best advice: Go elsewhere.

I stayed here and I have to say I was shocked when I checked into the ""closet"" that was my room. The hotel in general was nice but don't plan on hanging out in your room. The room was tiny and looked like it was last updated in 1970's.
