The Riande Airport Hotel and Resort has one distinct positive: it's close to the airport. Other than that, there isn't much positive to report. Arriving late on Jan. 24, I had no trouble checking in. However, the room had an indescribable odor that even room spray didn't eliminate. The bathroom counter was stained, and the backsplash was full of dirt spots. If I hadn't been so tired, I would have been more critical. I spent a post-cruise night at the Riande on Sunday, Feb. 1. This room was far worse than the first one. The odor came out of the air conditioning vent. The bathroom was dirty as well. The hallway carpets are stained and smelly. There is no elevator to the second floor, so heavy bags must be carried to second-story rooms. The resort grounds are typical of tropical locales, but I wasn't there long enough to enjoy the pool. I wouldn't return.

A nightmare if you are on vacation, uncomfortable, some electrical fixtures did not work, stay there if you get into Panama late and don't know your way around. They don't have street signs, poor lighting, It's easy to get lost, and, if you find yourself in the wrong neighborhood, (near ane around the airport) you may never be heard from again. No kidding

We arrived late from a delayed flight. The reception desk was rude and didn't bother to explain any details. The room had a annoying smell of mildew. The bathroom light kept flashing and the sink drained water on the floor. Too late and tired to change rooms, especially when we had to leave in five hours. Told front desk of the problems and they could care less. Thankful the rest of our trip was wonderful!

Hotel needs some major repairs or remodling, we have stayed there many times and each year seems to get more run done. Employees are all very nice, pool area just beautiful very well kept. It is fine for one night or two, it is closest to the airport. I would recommend for just an quick over night stay, but not a week long. Over all pretty nice place if they get remodling done.
