Booked a Wonderful with King bed for $* for one night. Front desk offered to upgrade to a Spectacular room with king bed on smoking floor for no charge. Check in and out was easy and fast. My smoking room had window a/c that could not be adjusted and was quite noisy. It appears as though the window units are only used on the smoking floors. No ice machine on floor or coffee/tea maker in rooms, ice and coffee makers need to be requested from room service. Would have been nice to have complimentary coffee in the morning, as one often finds in the lobby or a common area in hotels, though there are several places to get a cup of coffee within a block of the hotels. Overall a good deal at $*.

I booked several rooms at the hotel (3 spectacular rooms and 1 wow suite) for my uncle's wedding. This hotel exceeded all of our expectations. The neighborhood was quiet and safe but the biggest thing that impressed my family (10 people in all) were the rooms and the beds! WOW! So comfortable and spacious that we didn't want to leave. We almost missed the wedding! In any case, I thought this place was great for the older crowd who is not too familiar with NYC (aka my parents and my out of town family) and I know this place will be great for romantic getaways with a honey or a couple of girlfriends. I would suggest the upgrade to a bigger room or suite (worth it if you can split the room/bill with 2 or more people) and you'll enjoy a great hotel within the heart of bustling NYC.

The room had a strong odor of paint & the air conditioner was very loud and turned off & on all night making it difficult to sleep & temperature uncomfortable. Also, ever time we showered the caulking came off of the shower wall & & water did not drain , so you were standing in water that had dirty ,musty caulking all through it . The front desk was of little help when asking for directions to area attractions.

I checked in 2 hours ahead which was great, I go into my room its humid so I call front desk to get someone, took them 3 hours to send someone up. Within those 3 hours I called 5 times. Horrible. End of the night no one came, the next day I got very pushy downstairs had someone look @ it all he does is move the t.v. shelf like it helps, the room itself is soo little, so i slept with the door cracked open. I even mentioned to them that since my company paid $* a nite that they should give me a new room, but they were going to charge my company $* for each night. So I declined. If you're planning to spend $* spend it @ the 70th Park Ave Hotel or The Ritz Carlton Battery Park. The rooms are actually big and their service is great.

Went there for my boyfriend's birthday for the week and stayed in the Fantastic Suite and what an amazing experience! Room and beautiful and modern, bed was fabulous, the balcony had amazing views, what else is there? Oh and it was quiet! One more thing, the service was awesome! The staff checked us in early and made sure everything was always in order. I will stay again!
