  Even though the first night we did not have the room promised and the room had a veiled smoke smell the staff was good under a very busy weekend. The next night they moved us to an appropriate room which was clean and very acceptable for the remainder of the trip. The staff also compensated us for the trouble the first night. There are lots of good restaurants in the area and it is very convienent to all the local sights of Colorado Springs. I would recommend this hotel, for the price, and stay here again if I were traveling to COS in the future.

  I was very disappointed in this hotel after reading the reviews. The bathroom floors were dirty and there was mildew on the tub tile and shower curtain. The sheets were very thin - you could see the mattress through them. Housekeeping did not replenish washcloths, hand-towels, or coffee. The line for the cook-to-order breakfast was so long that we gave up and ate breakfast elsewhere. The staff was really not helpful.

  This was a great hotel, except there's no elevator, so ask for a bottom floor. There are a few other things that need repair, such as they key readers, the beds could have been a little softer, but overall great, clean hotel.
