  Hotel was fine, with easy access to King's Cross tube station (12 minute walk) and Russell Square (15 minute walk). Safe neighborhood. Issue with ALL Holiday Inn's in Great Britain - no second double bed! The fold out bed, which is supposed to be for two, is VERY small - for one person really. And the staff at this Holiday Inn could not seem to comprehend that when you have four guests, you need FOUR pillows and FOUR bath towels. One huge criticism - the prices in their restuarant. Outrageous, even by London standards. The first morning we asked the price for continental breakfast - they said 10 pounds per pesron - that's $20 to you and me. There was no way we were going to pay $80 for a cold breakfast. We walked down the street and found a delightful jewel - The Berliner. The owner there made delicious eggs, bacon, toast and coffee for 3.50 pounds apiece.

  While the hotel room was large and very clean, I was dissapointed with it in several ways. The heater/AC system was soo noisy that I had to shut it off to sleep. The location is not very good for Tube access or even busses(for those that like the adventure of a London bus.). The service I was least happy with was internet access. I asked at the front desk what it was going to cost for internet and the charge was 6 pounds for 15 minutes and 12.5 pounds per hour. That is outrageously high even if the exchange rate were better. Then to top it off when I did try to log in, the service said I needed Internet Exporer V7 which is what I was using.

  Clean with good help at the desk. quite a walk from the underground station. 3-4 blocks. not a lot of local eateries.
