We hosted a conference here & it was AMAZING!! Everything was WONDERFUL. The staff was EXCELLENT. The rooms were very nice. The food was delightful. We has about 100 people at the conference and we did not hear one complaint!

A lot changed at the Desmond in the six years since we were last there, none of it good. The bathroom was almost clean -- if you ignored the corners and edges. The food went from what was once quite nice to inedible and the manager shrugged and could not care less. They put food coloring on the roast beef to make it look rare -- it only made it look sci-fi weird. Another dish bore no resemblance to the discription in the menu. On the plus side , breakfast was better. We stuck with bacon and eggs.

We arrived at 12 midnight with our two grandchildren ages five and seven. The staff helped with baggage. They brought in a fridge needed for my husband's medication. Each person we dealt with was very warm and friendly. The accomodations were pleasant. Our meal the next day excellent and again staff was very pleasant to deal with.

Furniture in room not as pictured. Room lacked Internet. Complained, no relief. Finally got new room that required 20' Ethernet cord; charged me $20. Had to get bill reversed. Pool was too cold. Public areas too dark. Bathroom out of date.
