It's very old and smelly / musty all throughout. I tried to order room service twice. The first time they put me on hold and just set the phone down for about 10 minues. I could everyone laughing and carrying on in the background. I finally hung up and redialed, and the gentleman snapped at me that they were busy and that if I still wanted food it would take at least 40 minutes. I was hungry and in no mood to go out so I still ordered, the food itself was absolutely disgusting and i did not eat it. I would not go back nor recommend anyone else to.

I was impressed with this hotel, it was much better than other website offer hotels. The location was good, I was able to walk to every event in downtown Cincinnati. The parking was also a deal with the cost much less than stated. It was also far away enough to be considered "peaceful" during the busy Macy's Jazz Fest & Reds Ball-game Weekend. The staff all provided exceptional customer service too. I will stay there again soon.

MY HUSBAND AND I MADE RESERVATIONS FOR A KING BALCONY SUITE FOR OUR FIRST ANNIVERSARY--LET ME JUST SAY WE ONLY STAYED ONE NIGHT AND IT WAS NOT A GOOD ONE.THE BALCONY WAS A SMALL DIRTY SQUARE OF CONCRETE IT DID NOT EVEN HAVE ANY CHAIRS TO SIT ON AND THE MATTRESS WAS BROKE DOWN IN THE MIDDLE SO WE BOTH ROLLED TO THE CENTER NEEDLESS TO SAY WE WAS NOT HAPPY WITH EITHER. ON TOP OF EVERYTHING ELSE THE HOTEL WAS OLD AND OUTDATED THE WEBSITE PORTRAYED A MUCH MORE RECENT RENOVATION,WHEN WE WAS CHECKING OUT WE WERE TOLD THEY COULD PUT A MATTRESS BOARD UNDER THE MATTRESS IF WE WOULD LIKE TO STAY--WE DECLINED THE OFFER. ONE GOOD POINT IS THE DELI HAS SOME REALLY GOOD SANDWICHES FOR A GOOD PRICE MAYBE INSTEAD OF STAYING AT THE HOTEL YOU COULD JUST STOP BY FOR LUNCH

DON'T STAY HERE! I warn you. There are other hotels for the same price that are MUCH nicer than this. I am sitting here at 3am UP because the bed is SO TERRIBLE. The furniture is OLD, the appliances are OLD, the rooms are OLD and need to be updated. I am not recommending this hotel to others. I have colleagues coming in town, and I am telling them to take their business elsewhere. The place is old, old, old. Needs to be updated. ONLINE TRAVEL WEBSITE: This place is not nice at all. Not worth of the 4 smiles rating.

Overalll we had a good experience at the garfield. We chose this hotel because it was highly recommended. We stayed in a nice sweet with a balcony,kitchen, and a living room all for 98 bucks before taxes! We had only a few complaints; the parking situation is a little sketchy. The parking garage is right next door but you have to follow this long,winding,secretive tunnel from the garage to the lobby. Also,the room seemed to be a little outdated and worn out. The t.v's, stove,microwave,oven,and escpecially the bed have passed their prime. But,overall this hotel was good for the money.
