On a whim I tried Priceline.com to book my room. The Double Tree Downtown accepted my offer. I called the day before to ask if it would be possible to stay an extra day at the priceline rate. I was told, "No, because we allocate a certain block of "special" rooms for priceline customers." This worried me as I thought that I might be getting a worse room then other guests. I was right. My room was small, The TV was the old style tube TV. The worst of it was the tiny bathroom. Smallest bathroom of anywhere I can remember staying. Ok...so these were all minor inconveniences I could live with for one night. That evening I got out my laptop and realized II costs $10 per day for WIFI access. The next morning I got a bill under my door for $10 for valet parking from the night before. Ok no problem. The next morning my wife and I went to see if there was any breakfast. I asked the person at the front desk, "Is there any complimentary breakfast?" He pointed to the lounge. We walked in and there was no attendant. It was a typical continental breakfast w/tiny cereal boxes, milk, some eggs, coffee etc. My wife and I were finishing up some cheerios when a man from the back comes out and brings me a bill for $24. He even asks if I could pay in cash or credit card so he could be sure and get his tip..very tacky!. All in all for one night i payed an extra $16 to park (w/tip) $10 for internet, and $28 for our "complimentary breakfast." Thats over $50 for extras that should have been free.

I had the most wonderful experience. I have been visiting Dayton,Oh frequently the last few months for office work. And this was the first time I stayed here..and yes..I am always going to stay here now onwards. My room was big and clean. It had a TV, with sleep time in it. Room had all the amenities that are required to relax and feel at home. The beds were very comfortable, I had a very good sleep. They had a very good fitness center. I enjoyed watching myself in the mirror and the TV while challenging my calories. The breakfast was good too. It was a little crowded because of some matches in the city, and we had to wait to 3-4 minutes to be seated for breakfast. But the breakfast quality was good and they had many options in breakfast. The shuttle service is quick and prompt. It was great help for us to reach at our destination late at night. I liked this place, would only stay here whenever I visit Dayton.

The staff is very friendly, they give a warm welcome to their guests. Rooms were very clean. Even if its in downtown, it is very safe and quiet here. They have a wide variety for breakfast. The restaurant food tastes good. They have heated indoor pool. Also there is a beautiful view of downtown from the pool. They have free shuttle services, the shuttles are very prompt...on time. I would always prefer staying here in my next visits to Dayton.

The staff is very friendly, they give a warm welcome to their guests. Rooms were very clean. Even if its in downtown, it is very safe and quiet here. They have a wide variety for breakfast. The restaurant food tastes good. They have heated indoor pool. Also there is a beautiful view of downtown from the pool. They have free shuttle services, the shuttles are very prompt...on time. I would always prefer staying here in my next visits to Dayton.
