There are definitely better hotels!!! The hotel is not that bad until you checkin and head towards the rooms. It needs to be updated badly. The lighting in the hallways and rooms are dim but there is a reason. The carpet is just nasty! The walls are dirty and everything is outdated. The comforter in the room is just gross. My husband and I had to request clean sheets just to put on top of the comforter so we can lay our heads. It smells like smoke. As much money as this hotel makes you would think they would atleast put in new carpet and update things a bit. Some rooms also overlook the AC/Duct units which is ridiculous and full of dust! You can find a better hotel for the same price. My cousin stayed at the Planet Hollywood and it was nice!!! Rooms were great and super clean! We would not stay there again. Oh yea...one last thing! The Mystere Circus De Solei show was AMAZING!!! Great show. The Chris Angel show was a total dissapointment. 10% of it was magic the rest was singing, dancing and comedy.

It was a great place to stay. Clean, friendly people and check in was quick and easy. Could have used more shampoo etc. as there were two people in the room. But otherwise everything was fine for the time we spent in the room. We had a great view of the mountains out of our window. Food was great in the Pyramid Cafe and service was quick and good.

We stayed here in November of 2009 and really enjoyed it. The hotel had a little of everything. Our room was clean, the all day buffet was a great value. The pool was spacious and wasn't crowded. The elevators/inclinators were confusing and we kept getting turned around though.

Always wanted to stay at Luxor, looks like a nice building- should not have waited as it is well worn now. The carpet in the room was stained and dirty. The sheets on the beds had holes in them and the towels in the bathroom rough and thread bare. Takes getting used to the elevators that pull from right to left at an angle, if not drunk- you will feel like it! Since it is built with open core and inside walkways to rooms, the sound of music and slot machines echos into the rooms late at night and smell of smoke in non-smoking room was annoying. For similar rate there are many newer places to stay within walking distance, all on the strip.
