My family and I just stayed at the Inn at the Colonnade while visiting Johns Hopkins University for parents weekend. The staff were super friendly, gorgeous hotel, very warm and welcoming enviorment. Everyone employeed went out of their way to make us feel special. The onsite restaurant, Alizee was also very delicious. We wound up purchasing our son a gift certificate to the restaurant so he could come for any meal to get something to eat. Best of all, hotel was directly across from Homewood Campus :) My husband and I felt like we struck gold with this hotel. Can't wait to come back for the next JHU event.

The first impression was breath taking. The lobby was gorgeous. When my Husband and I was checking in there were a few others checking in at the same time. There were to desk agents when we arrived at he desk. They were doing a good job at taking care of the guest before us then out of the backroom two other people came to assist them. It made our check in much speedier. The fitness center is fabulous with some really great workout equipment for someone like me who doesn't like to miss a workout. My overall experience was pretty awsome. The hotel has a lot of things to offer. There's a coffee shop with gourmet cupcakes and they also sell Starbucks coffee. Again overall I would definitely stay here again, as a matter of fact I am coming back to Maryland in July 2008 and I will definitely come back to this Hotel.

It looks like a new hotel, the place looks great, the LCD in my rom was HUGE. I had granite in my bathrooms and the lobby was gorgeous. The staff was friendly and I love those cookies they give out at check in. They had a Starbucks in the lobby which was great. I will definitely be back the next time I am in Baltimore.

I was in the area visiting John Hopkins University. The Colonnade was extremely convent to the campus (just across the street) and the rates were very reasonable as well. The rooms have just been renovated so every thing is new. Front desk was very helpful with directions and restaurant recommendations. Loved the large flat screen TV. The bed was a little soft for my taste. Overall very nice.

Unless you have specific business that brings you to Johns Hopkins Homewood campus, avoid this like the plague. The front desk was rude, and had no training in any type of courteous interchange. I was greeted at the desk by " How Ya doin?"... There was a bellman at the front door, but he didnt even offer to take our bags in. The room was a suite, and the heat was turned OFF when we got there, so it was freezing for 30 minutes. When I checked out, I called to say I was going to be 10 minutes late...it is common practice to give a grace period....TEN minutes!! The response was "..YOU need to be OUT of your ROOM NOW." I asked again, surprised at the response, as I am an international traveler and a Hilton Honors member. She said "WE cannot allow you any extra time. " I had to ask for the manager. She came to the phone, was completely defensive, rude, non deferential, and said," you have 30 minutes to get out of your room. Is there anything ELSE I can help you with?" The rooms were old, the whirlpool had brown rings, as did the toilet. There was no room service at midnight,. the workout room is the size of a walk in closet. Need I say more?? The WiFi was free, but there were no instruction on how to get on the internet, or how to log on. I did not trust the valet service to park my car.No complimentary paper. This is a down-market hotel with up market rates. Buyer Beware.
