The hotel was very clean. The room was well appointed, and the bed was very comfortable. The front desk staff was pleasant and helpful. My only complaint is that the hotel is located at the back of a failed outlet mall. You can see the hotel from Route 31, but there is no sign on James Street for this hotel indicating how to reach. Fortunately, I stopped at the Holland visitors' center first, and they told me that I had to go through the outlet mall.

Great hotel. Very clean and charming. Friendly and efficient staff. The complimentary cookies are fantastic. When you walk into the hotel the smell of fresh baked cookies is overwhelming --- oh so good. Complimentary breakfast was ok. A couple of negatives. The hotel is two stories and does not have an elevator. Although the staff did offer to assist with luggage. The lighting in the rear parking lot of hotel is very poor. It's very dark at night and heavliy wooded. I was traveling with friends so it wasn't so bad for me. But I would be a little nervous if traveling alone. Hotel is a little further away from Lake Michigan than we expected. But the hotel was in a quiet area away from the crowds. Nice and relaxing vacation for all of us.

Staying here was an all around great experience. The front desk staff was very friendly, helpful and knowledgable. From one of the front desk staff I found out you cannot carry your room key in the same pocket as your cell phone. They told me that after having to reactivate my key for the second time. Breakfast was great. Each day was a little different in what they offered. We had waffles, biscuits and gravy, egg patties, cereal and all the usual breakfast items. The hotel was very clean and quiet. It's tucked way back in off the road, so it was a little tricky to find. The rooms were very clean and they served up cookies every evening, although you had to be early to get one. We would most definitely stay here again. A very pleasing experience.
