I stayed while on a business trip and found the staff quite friendly and the location fantastic. Obviously an older building, which normally equals smaller rooms, but it has been renovated and nicely maintained. Clean and well provisioned bathroom, nice flat screen TV and fast/free interent access. Ask for a quiet room -- view is not good but you'll appreciate it when you go to sleep as you'll be able to sleep soundly with a window cracked open.

Close to down town activities, transportation, and BART. There are not many hotels that still have someone to open the door for you. The room was well furnished and everything was solid. While everything was recently renovated you can still get a feel for the charm the place has.

Booked a week in San Francisco at Hotel Lukspar for 20th anniversary upon arrival they informed us they did not have a king size bed available they suggested they transfer our reservation the their sister hotel the Hotel Abri. Hotel is located in Union Square close to the cable car station and other forms of transportation which you can take you to any place within the city. The Hotel Abri is very nice remodeled 2008, clean with wonderful beds. Staff were very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about San Francisco (Hillary Front Desk) booked all of our daily excursions it was like having our own personnel travel agent. I would highly recommend both the Lukspar and Abri hotels to all travelers especially if you are not familiar with San Francisco. Thanks again for making our trip a wonderful experience!

Booked a weekend in San Francisco at Hotel Abri. Hotel is located nearby to Macy's, Westfield Mall, and many other shops and is also close to the cable car station which you can take to Fisherman's Wharf. Hotel is cozy and clean with wonderful beds. Rooms facing the inner courtyard are very quiet. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Would recommend this hotel to friends and look forward to staying there again!
