  I didn't read any reviews until 2 days before we were going for "Hot August Nights" and it was too late to get another room. I was extremely apprehensive. They are in the middle of a major renovation and when we got there we were given a choice of a renovated room or a non-renovated one. I immediately told them I want a renovated room! The room had new carpeting, draperies and furniture with a large plasma TV on the wall. The bedspread had not been replaced yet, but was clean. We had water dripping from the bathroom fan the first morning but maintenance was up to fix it in a couple of hours. The morning we left, the painters were outside getting ready to paint the building. The hotel staff was very nice and accommodating. And for the price, I would have to say the rooms were good -- not great, but then we got what we paid for. The casino hotel rooms for the weekend were $*+ per night so we were glad we were able to get three nights for the price of one night at the

  Room smelled bad, noisy corridor, and dirty stained bathroom. plus, the front desk was very unfriendly.

  I should have read the reviews before I book the hotel. I will never stay there again. Nothing positive to say. If you value your safety, stay away from the hotel. Neighborhood is bad and cops running around the parking lot questioning people. AC/Heater cover missing. Loud noise from hallway and rooms above beyond. I have to write this to warn other people.
