I've stayed at this Homewood Suites and was very pleased each time. It is a convenient location and the price was reasonable. It was really nice to have a breakfast included each day. The staff was very helpful, went above and beyond. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable.

My wife and our two kids stayed here in June of 2009, and had a nice stay. The room was clean, and housekeeping took good care of us every day. Beds were comfy, and they provided plenty of pillows. The staff was friendly and very helpful as this was our first time in DC. They only have 2 washers and dryers, but one of the washers was broken. The free breakfast and evening meal/snacks were always good, but very crowded too. Nothing negative to say about the hotel except that it's a little far from the main attractions. Catch a bus or the Metro rail, your feet will thank you. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and we would choose this again based on price and quality.

We stayed 6 nights, celebrating our 35th anniversary. The Good: Great Location in a safe area and about a 20 minute walk to the Mall where all the museums are located. Room was clean and quiet. The daily breakfast had lots of choices for cold pre-packaged food. The eggs and meats that are served buffet style were never hot. The Bad: We arrived late and I had called the day before to confirm a King Non-smoking room for our late arrival. We were told it would be ready for us. Upon arrival we were told that all they could give us were two double beds. We went up to the room to find we had also been placed in a Handicapped Suite with Microwave on the desk, no tub and a shower where the water would spill all over the floor. We went back to the front desk and they said the only other room they had was a smoking room with a King bed and a normal shower/tub. We were upset and the front desk told us we were lucky and that they often overbook, causing them to find rooms at other hotels for those late arrivals so that they can accomodate other guests who want to extend their stays. It was late, so we stayed in the smoking room which caused me to feel nauseated all night. They didn't offer to adjust the bill even after talking to the manager. They did move us the next day. We were tired, disappointed and hungry that first night. The hotel could not direct us to a close restaurant. The dinners were a disappointment, again with luke warm buffet food and packaged dressings for the salad.

Homewood Suites was worth the money. The property was clean and well kept and in a safe area. The breakfast and the dinner were complimentary and good. The dinner was not always kid oriented but they had free pop and beer. There were no other restaurants very close by and the Metro stop was about a l0 minute walk. The room was set up nicely with 2 TV's and a full kitchen. The management was not quick to fix broken things (ie, the treadmill in the workout center was broken during our 5 day stay and one elevator broke and was out for 2 days). I would stay there again. The staff was friendly and attentive.

I stayed here on a business trip and it was excellent! I got a newly renovated room that was very clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and made sure I was satisfied. The free breakfast was delicious! I have no complaints at all. My co-worker said that his a/c was loud when it first turned on but that's the only complaint out of two people.
