  The Randolph is posh. The facility is lovely and centrally located to all of Oxford. Be aware that the ""executive double rooms"" are located in a connected but separate section of the hotel. The rooms in the * range are not only a long walk from the lobby but also down a full flight of stairs. If the bellhop offers to take your bags, accept the offer. The ""executive double room"" is very large and comfortable. The shower is amazingly wonderful. Some of these rooms have doors that can open to a courtyard shared only by the rooms fronting the space. Hotel assured me the courtyard was safe, not open to the public, and patrolled by a night watchman, but I didn't feel comfortable in leaving my ground level windows which faced this courtyard open at night. Tea in the tea room was good value and the breakfast was delicious. Sign up for their B&B program, if offered, since it is great value at a wonderful hotel. I'd stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Oxford.
