My husband and I took our daughter for a convention at the Orange County Convention Center and decided to make a vacation out of it. We chose this hotel only because someone else booked the hotel for us and it was right across the street from the convention center. The room was very small, but we had hot water everyday. The door to our room was located from the parking lot behind a brick wall....or so we thought. This was actually the elevator. We were also right beside the equipment room. Haivng said that, my husband insisted on a ground floor room and that is what we got...THE last ground floor room. The equipment room and the elevator didn't bother us.....but the housekeepers outside our door early each morning did. We understand they have jobs to do, but they were a lot louder than I would have been knowing people are paying to have a place to sleep. Also, the door handle seemed loose enough we pulled a chair in front of the door each night. The beds were pretty uncomfortable and the price on the door showed $ a night even though I didn't have to pay that much. Thank God we were also vacationing and hadn't planned on spending more time in the room. We checked out one day early and the front desk clerk refunded me one day without me asking her to do so. I was very pleased with that.

The rooms were stuffy and smelly. The beds were hard as rocks. The pics lied, the rooms were not that clean and pretty. Beware of spider nests and ants. The spiders were found in my sisters' room and there were ALOT of them! The pool is ice cold. The staff was nice except all the smoking around the elevator by the laundry room. This place is no where near anything fun on International Dr. It is located at the very end of the Drive. All the traffic from the Convention Center made getting to this hotel a very long wait and it was so confusing trying to find the hotel. On a positive note: The IHOP staff was very friendly and a pleasure to talk with. If you want to be around ALL the excitement of International Drive then stay away from here and go towards Sand Lake Rd.

I wasn't expecting the Hilton, but this was bad. Cleaning service was spotty at best. We started with 10 cups in our room, and on day 5, when we were out, they didn't leave any. Even though we paid for three people in the room, they only left three towels per day. Sugar/creamer/stirrer pack (singular) was left three of the seven days we were there. Toliet would not flush properly, and the sixth day of our stay on the fourth floor, the elevator broke down. No soundproofing at all -- neighbors fighting several doors down could be clearly heard. Pizza delivery flyers were pushed through the crack in the door several times per night. Easy to get to and from the convention center and located within easy driving distance of many restaurants -- both fast-food and other.

Conveniently located. But smelly room.
01/02/2009Conveniently located. okay for 1 or 2 day stay. for the price of the room the hotel could add a mini refrigerator. rooms are smelly though.
