Traveling alone felt very safe. Only two blocks from King Metro Station which is less than a 10 min ride from Reagan National Airport. Front Desk helpful. Lots of variety for the Great Hot Breakfast. The lobby/dining area is small but managed quite well. Free use of two computers/printer with Internet was helpful so didn't have to drag laptop along. Room clean. Bed fine. Toilette not cleaned. Place was quite. The Perfect Pita next door to hotel. Business hours M-F and limited on Saturday. Otherwise the food is four/five plus blocks away.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Checking in late at night and desk clerk was very helpful. Breakfast was provided with room and they had an excellent breakfast with lots of options. Was within walking distance of the Old Town area with lots of restaurants and things to do. Easy access to Metro for getting to and from the DC area.

Just outside DC, in Old Town Alexandria, this hotel is in a GREAT location. We could easily get to all of the major sites in DC in about 20 minutes by walking just 2 blocks to the Metro station and heading north a few stops. Old Town Alexandria is a beautiful area full of fantastic restaurants and interesting antique shops. We spent each day touring the famous monuments, memorials, and museums of DC and each evening strolling the neighborhoods of Old Town enjoying great food and atmosphere. The Hampton Inn in Old Town Alexandria is an extremely clean hotel. The rooms are average size hotel rooms, with a couple of full-sized beds, a dresser, and a desk. Nothing huge or extravagant. The staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel has a fairly elaborate free breakfast each morning, more than just coffee and pastries. This made it extremely convenient to have a full stomach before we headed out for a full day of sightseeing. They also offer a sacked breakfast that you can take with you if you are in a hurry. The only down side to this hotel is the lack of room service. The first night we go there extremely late due to flight delays. Restaurants in the area were already closed. We had to settle for a sandwich from the vending maching. Since there are so many great restaurants nearby, this is not really a huge problem most of the time.
