My wife and I know better than to believe everyones reviews, some people are not happy no matter what you do for them. We have stayed at many 5 star resorts which didn't have any nicer rooms or better service than this place. You can park right outside your room, the staff were great, the room was very clean and had a fireplace, AC, Micro, Small Fridge, Coffee Maker, Hair Dryer, 2 Sinks, Jetted Tub, Steam Shower, Sofa, Coffee Table, King Size Bed, Large Balcony with 2 chairs and even heated tile flooring. What more do you want? We visited in the off season and the rates were very reasonable which contributes to our rating of this property. If these were the rates year round I think you would be hard pressed to ever find any vacancies. The property also offers an indoor pool, excerise room and gas BBQ's if you choose to take advantage of them. We will definately be back if rates remain the same.Lorne & Jacquie KunyLeduc, AB

We had a ground floor unit with living room, kitchen, bath, and bedroom. The bedroom was hot with no ventilation possible unless one opened the doorway to the hallway for all the units (entry was through bedroom). We requested and quickly got a fan, but it didn't help. The weather was not particularly hot, but the air conditioner in the living room just didn't reach the bedroom. The jetted tub was barely wide enough for one person, but it was nice and deep. The entry doorway from the hall to the bedroom did not have an inside security lock. The unit was non-smoking but had an ashtray on the deck - yuck. This is my second attempt at writing a review of my stay. The first one was apparently too harsh to be posted.

Maybe this place works in the Winter, but not in the summer. The room (I think 164) looked good at first. You entered through the bedroom, then there was a walkthrough kitchen with bathroom to the right, and a living room with a balcony. A good first impression. The room was hot, but of course the air conditioner was off. So we turned it on. After awhile we called the front desk and asked for a fan, to try to get some air circulation to the bedroom. The fan was delivered to the room very quickly. The air conditioner was out in the living room and didn't cool down the bedroom. We never did figure out a way to move cool air back into the bedroom. The fan blowing the hot air around helped, but we couldn't get it to circulate with the cool air in the living room... Several other folks along the hall had propped open their bedroom door to the common hallway, to get airflow - but I wasn't comfortable with that. Other less bothersome problems were the lack of an inside lock, the lack of a room safe, the ashtray on the deck (gross me out - this was a non-smoking room), the whirlpool tub being so narrow as to be strictly a one person affair, the air conditioner being so loud it was hard to hear the TV that cut off the weather report information while displaying the non-wide-screen format station in wide-screen mode, and the free internet being via the adjacent resort's WiFi. Perhaps if a kitchen were important to me, it would have seemed a better place.

If you are looking for a relatively inexpensive hotel for the area this is it! We just spent our 10th anniversary there in april. the room was clean the view was beautiful and the deer were on the front lawn everyday, what else could you asked for. If you want a 5 star this is not for you .,but if you want a place to have a nice fire in the fireplace at the end of the day and to relax this is it. Located on tunnel mountain it is pretty quiet at night. It has a pool and 3 bbq's which we took advantage of and yes they were clean. It is rated as a 2 to 3 star but I feel that is a little misleading . We have stayed at the lodge across the street which is very nice but for our needs and price this suits our budget just right. See you again in september . One last thing the beds are very firm so if you like a soft mattress this may not be for you . Also the kitchen is great everything you need though a few more pots and pans would be nice. Check out tunnel mountain you wont be disappointed!

Here is the list of complaints which we compiled. Let me point out that the staff were very friendly and as helpful as they could be, however.... 1) The cleanliness of the room was very poor.! The bathroom wall had some splatter and streaks. 2) The sofa was so threadbare the stuffing was coming out. 3) The kitchenette was poorly equipped to make breakfast for any more than 2 people. The coffee perk was a small 4 cup, the toaster held only 2 pieces of bread, and the frying pan was also miniature. In a condo that was advertised to sleep 8, these kitchen appliances were clearly unsuitable. 4) The kitchen included an egg flipper with no handle. 5) We could not turn on the TV the first night as we had not been told the ""secret"" code to turn it on. 6) On the first night there were no towels in the hot tub although we had called the front desk before going to confirm. 7) The heating system must have been right beside the bedroom and was unbelievably loud. 8) The bedroom which was at the front of the condo, only a few feet from the parking, became polluted with vehicle exhaust when vehicles outside were left running for 15 minutes (not ours).
