My husband and I had stayed at different La Quinta hotels before and really liked them, but not this one. We booked a king suite with a whirlpool tub, and when we got into the room it wasn't clean. There was hair all over the sheets, lights not working, and the smoke detector was dangling from the ceiling. We don't like to complain, but just couldn't see spending the money to stay in that room. We did ask for a different room, which was cleaner, but not by much. The single washcloth that was in the bathroom was found hanging over the shower rod, used. While the girl working the front desk was friendly enough, we interrupted her on a personal cell phone call every time we went to the front desk. It was not the hotel experience I expected, and will be wary of booking a hotel in advance next time I travel.

Arrived in the evening for a 1 night stay- Dark and dreary parking lot -hardly any security lights must of had 25 watt bulbs inside them. Check in lady was not too friendly- felt like I was not welcomed there. For as many rooms there are here, there was only 1 elevator. Imagine the quantity of people using 1 elevator - the wait to just get on and to get to the 3rd floor was crazy. Room and especially bathroom smelled like an ashtray and had holes in our bed sheets. Minimal water pressure in the shower nothing close to a soothing shower Breakfast- O my! No fruit! Out of cereal! Everyone who was there for breakfast were all lined up for one waffle maker. That took 2.5 minutes for each waffle! Imagine a family of four wanted waffles- 10minutes- A Major traffic jam- It was like a soup kitchen gone haywire. Glad we were headed off to a beach resort for the next five nights...

Me and my family had gotten one of those specials for 2 nights for $49 if we do a timeshare presentation. First we weren't on the property we was suppose to be buying. On the brochure it states we will get one room with 2 queen beds. We checked in a 2 double bed room. When I called front desk, XXX told me they only had 2 double beds or 1 king bed rooms. The next morning I told housekeeping I did not want them coming in our room and that I just needed some towels. I SIGNED a sheet stating that and put the Do Not Disturb key slip in the door. We left and came back, housekeeping had been in our room. I was upset!!! They we go in the bathroom, its two to three roaches, one pregnant in the bathroom. We killed them, but had to buy new toothbrushes cause we left ours in the bathroom. The water did not get hot at all. Its was mostly luke warm. It was like being at home, if two or more people wash, then you have to wait for the water to get hot. Then it was the lights, jumping on and off. The room did not have many sockets. Me and my husband had cell phones. One socket was covered by the bed and could not be moved because it was connected to the wall. So we took turns in the bathroom plug. I was disappointed overall with the whole situation. Festiva Resorts did not represent themselves well and by placing us here, as if to say we are going to put them in a place that is cheap and worthless. If I was Laquinta I will reevaluate the message that is been sent through Festiva Resorts.
