  The Park Hotel Post is ideally located to enjoy the city with the largest pedestrian area in Germany. The rooms have the feel of old Europe but are in excellent condition and very cozy. The windows are triple-glazed, so sounds from the street below can either be enjoyed or blocked out. There is a nice little restaurant on the same side of the street, halfway back to the train station. The hillside park, about a half a block toward town, has vines from a huge variety of grapes. There is a grocery store across the street where you can buy snacks or drinks to enjoy in your room. The accomodations, location, service and breakfast at this small hotel are all outstanding and Freiburg itself is a nice place to relax and unwind.

  Freiburg is an ideal European city, and this hotel makes the experience even more pleasurable. Easy walk from train station, and to Old Town, cathedrals (take the tour), fire tower (what a view!), plenty of shopping (try the chocolate), banks, University, etc. Free wireless internet (printing available), postal service available, and excellent breakfast! Parking 8Euro/day. Can be noisy on Friday night. Nice rooms and excellent English-speaking service.
