My husband and I went for a romantic weekend, one we haven't had in 6 years due to kids and when we arrived we had to pay for parking, checked in to a room that 6 years ago was brand new and now was rundown and dirty. We wouldn't even sit on the chair or sofa because they were so disgusting and badly stained. The casino was dirty with overflowing ashtrays, half empty cups, ashes all over the machines and most of the machines did not work at all . The restaurants were extremely overpriced and the food was not worth the pretty penny we paid for it. My husband and I have stayed here before and couldn't believe the difference from 6 years ago. If you travel up the street to Harrah's, a sister hotel to the Showboat, you wouldn't even believe the difference. It's beautiful, clean and the staff is very friendly. I can honestly say we will never stay here again. Yes, we got a great deal from travelocity but it wasn't worth it. We travelled offsite to other casino's and had a much nicer time. When it was time to get our parking reimbursed we were informed that even though we were guests of the hotel you had to gamble at least 1 hour per day in order for you to get a parking voucher! I will say one positive thing and that is The House of Blues Restaurant was fast, friendly and delicious!

me and my girlfriends stayed here and it was my first time in AC....we woke up to bed bugs!!!! we called the front desk to complain and say how disgusted we were and they said there was nothing that could do for us until it was "investigated". dont stay in room 1494!!!...that ruined my first AC experience

Went for a girls night out for my birthday and left with crushed spirit and bad feelings. It seemed nice at check-in, quick, friendly staff. We stepped off the elevator and was smacked with a serious odor. The room was ok, floors a little dingy and the table was sticky, but the beds were comfy. Shower had ABSOLUTELY NO WATER PRESSURE, room service was ok. Housekeeping showed up two and a half hours before check out - walked in the room while I was getting dressed... yeah, gotta love it, but it gets better. So, at check out we requested that they hold our bags - after a little gambling we come out to find our bags had been left on the curb unattended for 4 hours. Then the grand finale, I pay for valet only to find my car had been ransacked. Apparently, you pay money to have your car left unsecured in a lot for anyone to just fumble through - and to think, they're not responsible EVEN THOUGH THEIR STAFF LEFT THE CAR UNSECURED!!!! So, word to the wise - if you're going to stay - take every penny out of your car because they do steal change and will tear your car up looking for it. Pricey breakfast for two from room service - $34 Money lost in the slots - $150 Valet parking - $10 Leaving on your birthday to find your luggage left on the curb and your ipod and money missing from your trashed car - PRICELESS It truly does pay to discover other places to stay!

Horrible experience. Did not get room that was booked. Complained-no resolution. Room was dirty. Towels were dirty. Heard noise from other rooms all night. Walls are paper thin. Call and complained not even a attempt to resolve. Have stayed at other hotels in ac, excellent experience. Word of advice, Book elsewhere!!!
