First off let me say that the photos they show are of a PREMIUM room not the Delux. The delux was nice but not what they show in the photos. Still a nice place. Never had to wait more than 5 minuetes for a shuttle to any of the towers. Taxi rides are about $* dollars from the airport and we had 5 people in our party. That was $* for all of us! We did take the shuttle into the store the next day It is $* per person so really only 1 should go if you want to save money. They give yo an hour. Yes things are high there. The only tax they have is import tax and they are an island. Everyone is friendly and tries to be helpful but if you call on the phone be prepared to be transferred several times. Living room furniture needed stronger cushioning, its seen its support d Bed was good and comfortable, support but pillows were a little to be desired. In the laundry closet is also an extra blanket and 2 pillows. If you are renting you get room cleaned everyday if you are time share it is mid day of your stay. The onsite resturants are not worth their price. There is a deli and pizzaria that are good, deli sandwiches are huge and the onsite resturaunt of Harborside "the point" was very reasonable and the food was great, no flies as one spoke of. we were there 11/6 to 11/13 2009 There is tons to do and see its for all types of people, never had a problem getting a towel or a chair poolside or beach.

The room was clean and everyone on the resort was nice and helpful. The rooms with water views of the marina village is very picturesque and worth requesting. There is no room service at Harborside so you need to stop at the local grocery store or pay higher resort sundry store prices to fill the refridgerator. Starbucks is a 10 minute walk from Harborside and sells decent sandwiches. The shuttle was never more than a 5 minute wait to any of the towers. The pools are plentiful and the slides were fun. "The Dig" in the Royal Tower is worth seeing as well as finding time to see the other fishtanks, Dolphin cay, and the shark and royal stingray lagoons. Downtown is a short taxi ride away and worth exploring for lower priced Bahamian souveniers but the shops close early. If you do not stay at Atlantis make sure you make time to visit and see all this megaresort has to offer.

My husband and I stayed here from 6/26 - 7/3/09 and were terribly disappointed. For all the hype of Atlantis, the Harborside fell dramatically short. It has neither the posh nor the upkeep of the main Atlantis hotels (ie the Royal Tower, Coral Tower, The Reef, etc). Our room wasn't ready until 2 hours AFTER check-in (we had arrived 2 hours before check-in and the staff knew we were waiting the whole time). During our first (and only) lunch at the on-sight open air restaurant, we were swarmed by flies when our food arrived - disgusting. When we got to our room, it had a burnt out lightbulb, clogged toilet, broken safe and the bathroom doorknob was practically falling off. They did come by and fix all but the broken safe (which never got fixed all week even though we called more than once). The hotel staffmembers, although friendly, are unable or unwilling to help guests with problems. FYI - The pillows are flat, the bed lumpy, and they only give you one skinny, scratchy blanket per bed. There is absolutely no room service. The towel hut opens at 9 (even though most excursions like snorkeling leave around 8) so make sure you get your towels the night before. As for the food - it is ridiculously over-priced at alll the Atlantis restaurants. Tip is included in your bill regardless of the level of service so the wait staff is not exceptional. Have your taxi driver hit the grocery store on your way there from the airport so you don't have to pay $7 per person for the grocery store shuttle later. Overall - using your timeshare is a cheap way to stay at the Atlantis, but you do get what you pay for...

Service is slow and the help staff really don't care. But what would you expect from Bahamian people. I've been to the Bahamas many times for work and some vacations and the service peolple seem like they are doing you a favor. Other than the service, it's a unique and nice hotel. Very clean.
