The Barcelo Tucancun is so-so. The staff is very friendly and accomodating. The rooms are nice. The location is fine. However, the pool was quite slimmy, the alcoholic drinks not so great, and the entertainment staff at the pool was almost non-existent. The food was so-so as well. I will most likely NOT stay here again. There are other places in Cancun that are much nicer.

we have stayed at this resort for the past eight years at different times and the aiways have been most grateous and courteous,always there to help in any way they can to make your stay a memorable one...the food is always good and the resort is really nice...we will recommend this resort to all our friends to come and stay and will have a "BLAST"...look forward to returning in October....See You soon....The Hatcher's and Wilson"s from Tennessee.....June 20-27,2009

We stayed at the Barcelo Tucancun Beach hotel six nights in April-May 2009. It is a very nice hotel with very friendly employees. We had a great room with two balconies and two great views - one of the ocean and one of the pool area and bay. The hotel has a large theater with good shows and a large buffet on most nights. There is also another restaurant with a nice buffet. Also, there are two sit down restaurants, Don Quiotes and Mexico Lindos. We celebrated our anniversary at Don Quiotes. Our waiter was wonderful and showed us a very memorable time. We had him as our waiter several other times and he was just as great. There are several other places where you can eat, too. There is a very nice large indoor mall conveniently right across the street from the hotel with several restaurants and a casino. Cancun also has a newer outdoor mall about a mile from the hotel. This mall is also very nice and has an aquarium and restaurants. Cab service from the hotel was reasonable so we didn't take the public buses which run up and down the main street. You can make arrangements for excursions right at the hotel. The only thing that could have been better was the housekeeping service, as we had to ask at the front desk several times for various items they forgot to leave in our room. When we reported several lights out in our room, someone from the maintenance staff was there almost immediately to replace them. We would definitely stay there again.

stayed and had a blast we arrived and had paid for 2 rooms but got switched to a villa. loved it. we were sucluded from everyone one the end ocean front. lots of room. amazing views from the terrace. went on a jungle tour and zip line. went snorkling and underwater sub and shopping. the staff was very friendly. good food. the best tip would be take the bus. its cheap, 65 cents. anyway, we celebrated our daughters 18th birthday and graduation. best vacation ever.

I would definetely stay here again! I went for my honeymoon and they took such good care of us, and it rained the entire time in Cancun we were there but some how the hotel kept us entertained with games, shows, and many other things. The staff is very nice! especially the gentleman from Scottland, he helped us out alot! I also recommend the on site photographer, Some of the best photos ever taken of us were from him! Great place and I highly recommend it to anyone.
