We enjoyed our stay during my wife's convention at the Glenstone Lodge in October. We stayed in a balcony room which cost slightly more but was worth it for the view of the Great Smoky Mountains and the also some of the city as leaves were changing color. Our room was fairly large - bathroom was clean - pool was awesome - breakfast was great and well priced. Hotel seems to be working on some upgrades as staff seemed to be working on several projects. Hotel is non smoking and Good value for money.

Pluses- Free parking, nice indoor pool, fireplace in room, lots of pillows, clean room, small balcony was nice, friendly helpful staff. Minuses- Though close to downtown, you must walk up a LARGE hill when returning to hotel, noisy- can hear everything in the hallway, very small tv with limited cable stations, no room service, took about 15 minutes to get hot water from shower and bad water pressure, no mini fridge or microwave in room, no fan in bathroom (very small bathroom).

The rooms were a little small but very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The indoor pools were very clean and well maintained. The breakfest was excellent on saturday because they were very busy but on sunday we ate late and it was not as good as it was on Sat. Overall this is a nice place to stay with some extra's that we loved, like swimming in Feb. and sitting in the hot tub

07/03/2007Had a pleasant stay middle of may. have a great breakfast buffet. indoor swimming pool is fun for kids. outdoor pool great for getting some sun. would stay again.

This hotel was definetly not worth what we paid for it. Although it was clean and safe; it was older and to get to downtown Gatlinburg you had to walk up and down the hill. The bathroom fan didn't work, the towells were very rough, and it was difficult to get hot water to come out of the shower/tub. There were several large groups of cheerleaders staying while we were there, and we could hear them until about 12 at night. I recommend this for large families, because of the pool. Spend the extra money and get a hotel on the main strip Parkway.
