  Stayed one night at this hotel & loved it. The room was beautiful & very comfortable. The staff spoke english & was very helpful. The breakfast buffet was very good, not to mention very elegant. Hotel was walking distance to all major sites in Florence. I highly recommend it !!! Also its only steps away from the train station ...

  This small beautiful hotel is located on the quiet side of the Piazza near a minor landmark, making it easy to find. Easy walking distance (5-10 min) from Il Duomo, Uffitzi Museum, riverfront, major Piazza's, shopping, train and bus station (for those Tuscan day trips). Breakfast is delicious and the extra firm bed was very comfortable. The hotel was very clean, and the staff, fluent in English, were very helpful. Great pizza place next door for that late arrival; excellent restaurants were close by. Piazza Santa Maria Novella under restoration, March 08; construction not an issue (restoration in Italy is like window washing in New York, always). Florence is a very old, small, walkable city; no need to rent a car. We walked so much that we never saw the exercise facility on the lower level of the hotel.
