I booked reservations for the Niles Inn and Conference Center through the internet based on the discription that the Niles Inn & Conference Center had excellent service and cleanliness and maintained high standards of comfort and hospitality as well as the photos provided. My reservation were in Nov. When I arrived, the hotel was not like it was described in the advertisement. It was run down, dirty, the plaster was falling off the walls, there was no one else other than my car in the parking lot. They placed me in the far, back corner of the hotel alone. The back lobby door was filty and smelled like urine. The halls were poorly lit and smelled moldy. The wall paper in my room was bubbling and peeling off, there was mildew around the door edges. My room was dark and the beds and furniture were old. I went back to the front desk to tell the lady that I did not feel safe and that I felt that they had misrepresented the hotel in their description on line. She told me that I could leave if I wanted to but they had a zero refund policy. This was not indicated through the web , nor on the email confirmation document that I have. I asked to talk to a manager but was told that no one was avaliable until Wednesday. I called back on Sunday and again on Monday trying to contact a supervisor but was unable to do so. I took video documentation of the conditions of the hotel and of the room. It clearly shows that the hotel and room are deplorable. I reported them to the BBB.

This was the worst place that I have stayed in years. It was dirty (dead bugs< unswept trash from the previous person). Broken lights. The bed was missing sheets until 6pm at night. They were not even sure that it had been cleaned when we were checking-in at 9:30pm the first night. Some of the towels were not clean. It took a while to convince the manager to refund us our last night there (they had charged for all three nights on checking-in).
