As is the case with many of the hotels in Chile, it is their policy that you can only have two adults in the room despite the fact that they have 2 double beds in the room. We were traveling with our two college age kids, both over 18; and I even called the Holiday Inn reservations in the U.S. to confirm that the room was for four adults since Travelocity indicated they could only book two adults in the room&, but when we arrived, they said we would have to book two rooms. Other than this, the room was fine. The quality was more like a Holiday Inn Select in the U.S.. They allowed us to check in about 10 am after our overnight flight. The Internet access, parking, and breakfast were all quite satisfactory. The personnel at the front desk were pleasant and spoke English well. There was a taxi waiting all the time, and it was about a 10 minute walk to the Metro. It was a nice part of town and we felt safe walking at night - many good restaurants in proximity. The printer in the business area was not working, but they had about 5 computers available.

Not all the front desk personnel are knowledgeable about everything. I was just told to follow the red line if I want to come in the hotel by using garage elevators. I have been asking them them every day as I walk up the road that I drive the car into the garage. They have sold the parking to a private company. I was told. All you see kids working the front desk. Breakfast worst in Santiago. No eggs, some local cheeses and ham on store bought bread. Coffee brewed every hour or so. Refills for buffet are not prompt. This morning I had to ask the guard to ask kitchen to get some warm milk for coffee. Not enough staff. They advertise WIFI in the whole building but you have to beg for IP key card for one hour a day, the limit on free internet. No free WIFI any where as they advertise. I would like to write more but have used 15 minutes of my one hour a day internet writing this. There are cheaper and better hotels in Santiago. Do not go by American brand. This is being run as mom and pop type motel, trying to cut corners anywhere they can.
