This was a pleasant surprise. Large condo with 2 bedrooms, a living room kitchen combo. Both bedrooms were spacious and had balconies overlooking 5th Avenue. It was a little noisey at night but you have to expect that if you want to be on 5th Avenue!

A friend and I stayed at El Patio 9 nights. We loved it. I will say at night it's a bit noisy from music playing on 5th Ave, but after a couple nights we got used to it. This place really is fantastic. The people working there at the desk (you have to go to Posada Mariposa to register) are incredibly helpful with anything you want. The cleaning people were great. We had absolutely no complaines, would recommend the place to anyone and will definitely be staying there again on our next trip. I would recommend this to anyone. We had a living room, kitchen, nice bathroom and 2 nice bedrooms. You will not be disappointed with El Patio.

El Patio is apartment-style for those who actually like to leave their hotel and get out in the city. It had a spacious living room and kitchen where we were able to cook and entertain guests. It was very quaint and comfortable. The staff was so friendly and helpful with anything we needed. The balconies off the bedrooms overlook the main drag of Playa del Carmen, 5th Avenue. It is situated on top of some really great restaurants and bars where you can get to know the locals. It is walking distance from almost everything including Mamita's, one of the most beautiful beaches in Playa. It truly felt like a home-away-from-home, and I plan on staying there again when I return.
