My family and I stayed here during Spring Break 2009. PROS: Easy Access to the beach (Right Across the street) Great Balcony View and we enjoyed having the convenience of the mini kitchen (Fridge, Microwave). Enough sleeping areas for 6. Had complete sets of dishes and utensils CONS: (And I am trying to be as objective as possible) The room just seemed outdated and had a musty look and smell, like an old home. We had problems with the shower, too hot or too cold (Seems to be a common issue there) the bathroom really needed a deep cleaning. Dirty walls and sticky floors. Areas on the walls were either dirty (like dirt stained from years) or metal parts had rusted spots. The Main bed was great (very Small room), the bunk beds are cute, but have blow up mattresses and are very uncomfortable, are small and are right next to the front door (kinda scary for kids, mine didn't like them) The kitchen is cute but very tiny. Needs to be updated and have older and worn areas deep cleaned, updated or replaced. The coffee maker didn't work, but we were brought a new one quickly. The roll out bed mattress was very thin and very uncomfortable. TV had limited channels available for viewing. No PPV, No restaurant or food service on site, but restaurants are in walking distance. Coke machines broken and elevator was out of service, so we had to use stairs to the 3rd floor. Overall, It was ok, primarily because I was trying not to make the stay any worse, but I would probably stay somewhere else on the next trip. Just didn't get that clean, cozy modern feeling I was expecting. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Excellent place to stay! The living area opens onto a nice balcony. All rooms are angled towards the beach so each gets an excellent view of the gulf. The two bunk beds are small - for pre-teens kids only. The queen bed is nicely separate in its own room; the fold out sofa bed is next to the great view by the sliding door and patio. Each room has a full kitchenette and an individually adjustable AC. Rooms were clean and housekeeping was prompt. Hotel is on the sea wall but the there isn't a sandy beach right there. You will have to walk about 2 blocks in either direction to get to a sandy beach -- like many hotels in Galveston. Hotel has 2 pools, but only one is heated. Also, if the weather is cool the wind can make the pool area cool also. This is a great place to stay, especially if you can get an off-season deal!

my husband & I stayed here a few days for our anniversary. the rooms were very clean, and the staff were very helpful. there is lots of storage space, and it is a real nice family vacation spot. every room has a view of the beach, and has a balcony. the kitchen was nice to have also. we were very impressed and pleased with our stay.

Fun place to stay, very close to the beach. But, don't go out on the balconies, they lean forward and they creak! The rooms have bunkbeds and the kid's loved that! The rooms are old, but clean. Guest service was excellent. Would stay again!
